    The Engineering Directorate has openings for engineers with a combination of education and several years of experience capable of supporting a wide variety of design, construction, and analysis projects in support of experimental science and associated systems development. These individuals will work under the direction of senior project/program managers and may lead project teams consisting of engineers, designers, technicians, and coordinators. The candidate will develop conceptual and detail designs of hardware for mechanical systems, diagnostic systems, laser applications, and mechanisms for advanced development applications, evaluating alternative designs from engineering and economic considerations and presenting the results to design reviews. A B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, with an emphasis on design or equivalent level of demonstrated knowledge and experience is required.
