IEEE Member Day at the Computer History Museum In Mountain View!
Sunday, August 21, 2011

First 150 registrations -- $7.50 for the IEEE Member; $7.50 each for up to 5 family members! (Children up to 12 yrs old: Free)

See CHM’s new exhibit "Revolution: The First 2000 Years of Computing" – a rich, multimedia exhibition that traces the history of modern computing -- everything from the abacus to the smart phone. … fun, informative and thought-provoking, with something for everyone, from technical experts and geeks to curious non-techies who wonder how sophisticated computing technology ended up in, among other places, their microwave ovens. An orientation theater, 19 galleries and five mini-theaters showing high-definition videos produced by the Museum.

Drop in at CHM at any time between 10 AM and 3:30 PM to tour the exhibits, and the new "Revolution" displays. Print and bring the ticket that you will receive after your confirming email. (Regular CHM admission is normally $15 per person.)

The optional buffet lunch (includes chicken, beef, vegetarian) is from Noon – 2 PM (with salads, rolls, soft drinks, coffee, etc), at nearby Michaels Shoreline Restaurant -- no additional charge.

Bring the whole family!

IEEE's local members can register on-line by July 30th, or fill out and submit the Registration Form.
