e-GRID Subscription Services: Those not Current IEEE Members

Engineers and managers in other disciplines (mechanical engineering, materials science, physics, chemistry, information technology, biology, and other fields) often value the cross-disciplinary benefit provided through networking with the electrical and computer engineering community. Electrical/computer engineers who are not IEEE Members are welcome, too. We invite you to access the rich possibilities provided through our dozens of local Chapter meetings each month.

  • We invite any SF Bay Area engineer/developer/manager to subscribe at no cost to the e-GRID and receive it twice a month.

  • These subscribers are maintained on the IEEE's secure ListServ system, and you can subscribe/unsubscribe at any time. We currently offer two choices:

  • HTML Version: The standard e-GRID outlines upcoming Chapter meetings in a compact, three-column format (shown at right), with information about conferences and other events profiled in subsequent panels. You can view a copy to see the style. To subscribe your current email address, send an email to [email protected] with the following information in the BODY of the email:
          subscribe   e-GRID   FirstName   LastName
Similarly, to end your subscription, replace "subscribe" with "unsubscribe".

You may subscribe an alterate email address using this format:
subscribe e-GRID [email protected] FirstName LastName

You will receive an emailed form requesting that you verify your subscription.

  • Text-Only Version: If your email program doesn't support viewing in HTML, or you have this feature turned off, you can elect to get our simple text-only notification twice a month, alerting you that the full HTML version is posted to the website for viewing in your browser. To subscribe, send an email to [email protected] with the following information in the BODY of the email:
          subscribe   e-GRID-text   FirstName   LastName
Similarly, to end your subscription, replace "subscribe" with "unsubscribe".

  • Welcome to the Bay Area services provided by the IEEE!

Privacy Policy: The IEEE e-Notice system is operated under the IEEE Security and Privacy Policy. The two ListServ Dlists are used only for distribution of official information from the SF Bay Area Council, and these lists are not shared with any other organization or made available to others for any purpose.
